Briefing

Read this before the order sheet

A conventional desk seat folds the hips near 90 degrees. A split saddle asks for a higher, more open sit: two pads, a centre gap, and a gas lift that meets a raised or sit-stand desk. If that sentence already sounds like the wrong object for your room, stop here. A dining table and a reclining task chair are honest tools. This briefing is for rooms that can raise the work surface.

ZoomChair sells one seat on this site: the Aperture Split Saddle for A$629 GST incl. in the photographed bronze configuration. Australia-wide delivery is included in the price (A$0.00). You pay CHAIR ERGONOMICS PTY. LTD. through PayPal. Card numbers are never typed on zoomchair.com.

The chair in the plate has no backrest and no foot ring. You hold an upright sit. Both feet stay on the floor. That is comfort seating with posture support. It is not a medical device. It will not treat pain. If you have a health condition, ask your health professional first.

Set the desk first. The lever is second. The old chair can stay in the room.

Desk height

Saddle sitting is higher than a conventional seat. A sit-stand or raised desk is the practical match. Elbows should meet the keyboard without hiking the shoulders. If the only surface in the house is a low fixed table, do not order this chair hoping the column will shrink the problem. It will not.

Split seat

Two pads, a gap between them. You sit on the sitting bones, not a single bucket. Keep the gap clear. Both wings should share the load. The bronze side panels in the photograph are the finish. There is no second colour on this offer.

No backrest

There is nothing to recline into. You hold an upright sit. That is the posture-support idea. If you want a mesh back and a recline lock, this briefing is not for that product. We do not sell that product here.

Honest limits

This is comfort seating. It will not treat pain, and we do not claim therapy. The first fortnight is a settling-in: shorter sessions, an honest height, flat feet, another seat nearby. Unused returns within 30 days. You pay return postage unless the chair is faulty. Australian Consumer Law still applies.

Assembly

Flat pack. Casters, base, column, seat, leaflet. A slow Sunday is ordinary. If a part does not match the bronze and black plates, write to support@zoomchair.com before you keep going.

Floors

Twin-wheel casters prefer hard floors. Thick carpet can slow the base. That is a floor note, not a defect in the saddle.

A longer desk-fit note

People order a saddle and then lower it to a table that never moved. The hip angle closes. The gap stops mattering. The review in their head says saddles are uncomfortable. The missing step was the desk. Raise the work until the shoulders drop. Then set the lever until the feet are honest. Then sit on both pads. That is the whole method, and it is why this page exists separately from the cover story.

A sit-stand frame with a memory preset helps because you can park a saddle height and a standing height without inventing blocks of wood. A drafting bench often needs no motor. A kitchen island is usually the wrong height and the wrong splash risk. Indoor adult desk use only.

If you share the desk with someone who wants a backrest, keep two chairs. This issue does not require the household to convert. It requires floor space for a five-star base and a surface that can meet an open hip angle.

Optional Tall gas lift (+A$29) is for benches that already sit high, where the standard column runs out of travel. Optional armrests (+A$39) are packed separately and are not in the photograph. Most readers of this briefing should leave both at the default: Standard lift, no arms, bronze as shot, A$629.

Payment is PayPal. Sometimes the sheet with buttons stays on this domain. Sometimes PayPal opens in a new tab. Either way the amount is the running total of the configuration. Opening a tab does not mark the order paid on ZoomChair.
